An original German Jaeger rifle that's a family heirloom.  Its been converted to percussion and is missing the trigger guard and a few screws, but with its hexagonal rifled bore, swamped octagonal barrel, and sliding wood patch box cover it really cool.  Sorry, no pictures.

My other old heirloom is this.

And I even have the powder horn that goes with it!

The receiver is 102 years old (1897).  The rest of the rifle was made in the 40's and the stock sometime after that.

And my favorite part is that it isn't considered a "firearm" by the Federal Gov't

Funny, this isn't a "firearm" and my roommates 10/22 would be considered an "assault weapon" by Pelosi

Gotta love retarded legislation.

The oldest weapons in my safe are both Savage Model 1899 lever action rifles. Both are in .303 Savage. The older of the two is a "B" model with a 26" octagon barrel and old Marble's tang sight, made in 1909. The other is a round barrel takedown model made in 1913. Both make it out in the field every deer season on good days. Regards, > Gary

50's model Browning A5. I haven't been able to find out much about it. The serial number doesn't follow Browning's online guide very well.

1899 Swedish Mauser in 6.5x55mm    Stupid accurate rifle.   This round should be in more platforms.

Amen brother.  I think Ruger makes a version of their Hawkeye rifle with Mannlicher stock in 6.5x55, but it's the only American made bolt gun I know of off the top of my head that's chambered for it.  One of these days, I'd like to build an AR-10 in 6.5x55 and shoot NRA Hi Power with it.

My dad has a Swede from 1898 (Carl Gustav) that's stupid assed accurate too.

My uncles' Model 1912 Winchester 20 gauge pump. Made in 1918. Killed in Action at Iwo Jima - May god rest his soul.

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." –– Theodore Roosevelt, May 07, 1918

Untll 1925 the 1912 Winchester 20 guage was in 2&1/2 inch chamber, look to see if the reciever (front portion)has been
milled to allow the 2&3/4 shell to  be ejected, and maybe the chamber reamed!  Could cause you problems!

1917  Austrian Steyr M95/34 Carbine. Picture doesn't do it justice, It was a real basket case when I got it. Needed lots of TLC. Fun shooter, still figuring out the accuracy, so far it shoots minute of barn.
(Steyr pistol shoots much better)
