Hey AR_Rifle, is that a 16.1" barrel on your carbine? Just wondering because I have one and it's always looked a little out of place with the 4 pos stock (with the extra length on the barrel). For some reason the carbine in your picture doesn't look so weird...

It's just a carbine... I'd like to get a new M4gery upper for it someday.
Not a great pic, either; it's all I have at this time. Not only does DRFColt have the best guns, but he takes the best pics as well. Must be the lighting... FITTER out |

M4-96D has no/little sound right at gun and super-sonic crack is no louder than a 22LR.
Turns usually very loud Commando into a pussy cat. Even seems to help with controllability. Extra back-pressure from silencer makes gun run very reliably. VERY nice. Yes, there is some blow-back through the ejection-port, but this is typical of a silencer. Some more than others. drfcolt how do you like the Talon-SD???? Is it as quiet as it is claimed to be? How about with sub-sonic Vs Super-sonic ammo? Any info would be great. Nice gun.

Gunplay,
VERY quiet with subsonic (147gr) ammo. I've only tried Federal EAGLE. Probably would get better results with some quality/made-for-a-can stuff. Much louder with standard 115gr stuff. Still not the normal level. Hearing protection still not needed. Really don't know how it compares to other cans. Never tried or heard any. Also makes Colt SMG set-up much more controllable. VERY nice set-up. Looks dang cool, too!!! |
