Replied to your thread on the Hide, but I’d check with JRH on what exact tubes they’re having put in and calling “XLS”, as NGI/TNVC calls out XLSH tubes in their XLS product lines. Not sure if they’re the same or not.

No they are the BNVD Single gain housing, nothing made in Chee'na LOL.
XLS tubes just arrived and there are not a ton of the WP XLS so I can't say for how long we will have these. I WILL try to shut it down the listing as soon as I am for sure inventory is very low and/or out. In today's market with long lead times for most NV, I'd prefer to not just keep adding pending orders to folders but we are trying to focus on NV that is available to ship within a couple weeks. This helps customers get NV quickers which in turn then helps reduce the load on backorders which will in turn help folks waiting get their equipment sooner (hopefully). Above all, we do NOT charge your card until the order is ready to ship, so either way, customers aren't out any money till their unit is on it's way to them. Sometimes when lead times pile up due to tube delays, etc. it's the only thing that can be controlled and for the customer it's nice to know they won't be out any cash until their unit is headed their way. As to the tubes themselves, we are purposely trying to undersell them, as I don't want people to have unrealistic expectations. The XLS is a lower graded tube than the SLH we use in the High performance grade systems. For the price, they are a good bargain, but they might not be the best choice for everyone. |

I'm a newb to the Night Vision Game but it looks like a damn good deal, I'll be trying to get my buddy to jump on them. Though I may need some soon as well if the fragile foreign made DTNVG's I just got don't hold up
 Seriously though, I'd have been all over this if it was two/three weeks ago when I made my purchase. Think that would have been enough of a savings to justify not going the route I did. |

We drop the "H" in the XLSH and I probably shouldn't do that, some troll will lambast me for that as well, LOL.
As far as further sorting as Will-1 said, and yes they are autogated Will  As others stated before the XLS/XLSH grade are the "bottom of the barrel" as far as Elbit grades go and we agree with that. Where possible customers should look to the higher graded tubes like the SLH grade that goes into our High performance systems. If your looking to save some bucks and you can live with more blems and possibly less performance, than it's a good deal for you. If your a picky Patty then it's probably not your jam- hence the big disclaimer we have in the description- The XLS/XLSH tubes can have more blemishes and lower specifications than the other grades. As I mentioned in another thread, we only have limited availability of XLS/XLSH WP tubes for both PVS14s and BNVD single gain units. Given the insane state of lead times and high demand, I WILL make every effort to shut down the listings for the XLS/XLSH grade tubes once inventory gets super low and/or runs out. My goal is not to write up orders to sit on the books for months but to try to get NV that is available into people's hands as quickly as possible- we are trying to stay as flexible as possible during this time of unprecedented demand and supply problems. Most importantly you are NOT charged until your order is ready to ship, so your money is YOUR MONEY right up till the time your unit ships. Edited to update available info/specs, etc. |

I'll say the same thing I said when the Night Goggles XLS line arrived - this is fantastic for NV buyers.
A BNVD-SG with WP for $6,000? That's friggin outstanding. Same for a $5,800 RNVG WP. It's a great time for someone to get into a set of WP goggles! |

Well technically there will be more at some point, just may be a little while.
Our focus lately has been on the NV that's actually available for quick shipping, so customers don't have to wait 10-12 weeks where possible. Probably when these run out we will take email addresses and notify folks when back in stock. We will do what we can for our arfcom brethren

I've been looking at these also. I'm pretty happy with my pvs14. Does anyone know how these would compare to a green tube with 1881 FOM and a SNR of 29.4?
I don't want to shell out that much cash and go backwards, when I can just wait a little longer and get better tubes. But If it's not much of a difference in performance to what I've got now, the price is compelling. |

I switched my order with JRH from two echos I was planning on bridging to this setup.

You can get some screaming awesome tubes that are clean, or you can get a tube with 21 SNR, 2.5 EBI, and a high halo value as well with blems in zone 1, 2, and 3. |

For some customers just listing spot spec chart and spec numbers doesn't mean anything. It's good to spell it out completely- these are lesser tubes- a good value for the price but you aren't buying High Performance tubes for this price. More than anything we don't want to give anyone false hopes. Sure there are some good examples of XLS/XLSH tubes but there are also some not so good examples. Now if there is an actual problem, that's a different issue, 10 year warranty with no fine print. Any real problems will get taken care of. But that's quite a different thing from just someone not reading the spot spec chart. We won't dance over the topic or use doublespeak on the issue, these are lower grade tubes. A bargain? Hell yeah! Are these for everyone? Hell no. |

I was referring to the differences in return policy, which to my understanding is that you do not offer any returns which I'm not saying is a bad or good thing. It's just is what it is. TNVC offers a 14 day return if you're not happy as long as the unit is in like new condition. This may be important for buyers due to the lower minimum specs of the XLSH tubes. It's a notable difference is all. The warranty difference is a wash since you both offer 10 years on the tubes and TNVC adds lifetime warranty on the housing. Like others have said in other posts, it's a nice safety blanket, but will most likely never be used. |

Yes we will tell you the deal upfront, not "on a case by case basis" or anything like that.
If there is an actually problem, you are completely covered. If it's "mommy got mad at me for stealing her Visa"- well that isn't covered and you got bigger problems anyways LOL. But we don't do "sampling" on these low grade offerings. Nor do we recycle used units. We've all heard the stories of places like "optics world" that offer quote "easy returns" that simply take back the unit and put it in another box for the next customer. That's bad business. I had one customer say he went through 3 units with that place all that had issues. A returned unit means it has to be checked out, tested, made sure no one jacked parts out of it, etc. That costs money, so buying NV is definitely an "adult buying decision" and needs to be treated as such. A unit advertised as a lower grade unit is just that, and customers should only purchase lower grade units if they realize what that means and are ready to stick to their decision. BTW, these are sold out already for the next 3-4 weeks. The listing will show active till the 15th so people can avail themselves of the sale price, but we have it clearly notated that any new orders will be in next batch at this point. |

No they are running 4 weeks at this point so it's going to be a while before you see average specs. The minimums are listed in the item description. Just keep in mind the XLS grade is a lower graded tube so you can see more blemishes, lower performance, etc. |

I have hand select tubes from TNVC with great specs (~2600FOM, < .7 EBI and halo, no blems). My buddy ordered a set of the xls rnvgs from TNVC. His specs are on the lower end of what has been going out of TNVC (~1500FOM, >1.5 EBI, and some blems). On average the specs on the XLS line seem to be much better than what he got. THAT BEING SAID, after using my tubes for 90% of the time i go out, i still thought his tubes looked good. I say this all the time, but the real difference is when it gets extremely dark and there is barely any ambient light. Do my tubes look more clear in decent ambient lighting conditions? Yes they do look better, but probably not as much as you would think. Ambient light, or supplemental IR light is very good at leveling the playing field. The unfilmed are without a doubt in my mind the Best. If i was fighting at night, i would want them on my head. Especially if the people shooting back had night vision as well. The XLS tubes are still pretty awesome, and you can see in the dark. The value they give new night vision buyers is amazing. If these deals were available when i got into night vision a little over a year ago, I might have gone that route.
$6000 for articulating WP gen 3 autogated, with a 10yr warranty IS INSANE. JRH is a solid vendor so i wouldnt hesitate on that either. |

L / R SNR : 26.9 / 27.8 EBI : 0.4 / 0.61 Halo : 0.98 / 0.92 Center Res : 64 / 72 Photocathode: 1567 / 1700 FOM: 1721.6 / 2001.6 I don't know what half of these numbers mean but I checked them out in my bathroom for a few minutes and it was pretty fucking cool. No blems really stood out for the few minutes I was using them. This is my first time owning or using any kind of night vision device. Now I am just waiting patiently for the sun to go down. |

Those are great specs and in an articulating goggle to boot is money well spent, especially since NV prices have been on a rapid rise. Great pics also. Try and get far away from any city light pollution where the star field is huge to the naked eye. Break out the NODS and you'll really be impressed. My ole lady gets a kick out of NV with a 3X magnifier on the end of it in city lighting, she almost shit the bed when we where in Sedona Arizona and I broke out the NODs. |

XLS tubes in WP are backed up as most other tubes are backed up now a days. If you have an order in you are locked in at that sale price- even though you won't be charged till it's ready to ship. If you need something quickly, XLS tubes in GP in PVS14s are up to date as of today and Photonis Echo spec WP PVS14s are up to orders placed on the 7th of November as of today.
