Guy has several hundred once-fired Federal .308 GMM. What's a fair price to offer? Thanks.

points to consider
Federal Brass has poor case life.  I.E. primer pockets expand easily
was it fired from a bolt gun? versus being beat up in gas gun?
do already have loads worked up using Federal brass if you do not you have rework any loads you may have using other brands of brass

All fired from bolt gun (Rem700). I've got a load I use with FC brass. On my third loading, no issues.

If you are careful with your headspace, are loading for a bolt gun, and are not pushing the (pressure/velocity) envelope with your loads - you can expect at least 10 load cycles on that brass.  At 10 reload cycles, I re-purpose the brass to use it for loading subsonic .308 .

FC .308 brass is my favorite manufactured ammo brass to pick up and use for my reloads - I have about 300 once fired cases.  My other favorite brass brands (Lapua, Alpha) I buy as new brass (not ammunition).

In all honesty, the only place Federal rifle brass has in my house is the scrap bucket. I discovered early on why Federal crimps their primers into many rifle cases.

I won't load a FC rifle case in any caliber.

Their pistol brass is my favorite.

Same here.
I learned very early in my reloading journey that FC rifle brass was best to avoid.
Had loaded some once fired FC .223 brass for AR,
within 100 rounds had 2 primers fall out of cases.
One jammed up trigger group, was fortunate to get it out without having to disassmble trigger group.
But in pistol calibers, FC tops my list of preferred headstamps.

If I get 10 firings from a piece of virgin brass, I am satisfied.  A piece of brass costs about $0.30

If Federal brass is useful for 3 firings (one of which has already been consumed), its value is about $0.06 each.

How's that for a guesstimate on your offer?

If it lasts only 3 total firings, I would not put a lot of work into case prep.

Interesting... I re-loaded a buddies once-fired brass (was Federal Gold Metal Match) and noticed the primer pockets seems really loose.

The newer stuff doesn't seem to have the same problems as the older stuff did.

I think much of the problem is that you see guys loading HEAVY charges in the cases and wondering why it doesn't last forever. The threads are on here weekly. "Why is my AR-10 acting wacky when I smash 50 gr. of 8208 into it?"

Running cases hard and long case are inversely proportional.

If you decide not to buy them, OP, send me a PM if the seller will ship.

I like my FC 308 cases. I’m OK with ten firings.

FC has great pistol brass and decent 30-30 brass.

Remington 30-30 brass was terrible.

Sorry that doesn't apply to me, I don't overload 308.

I will admit that I haven't tried new FC rifle brass, not going to either.

Plenty happy with Win.

Here I am trash talking people who skirt the limits...

If you want to get crazy, try Starline brass.

I have some Starline 243 brass that I was running HARD with a heavy charge of RL-16. Finally tossed it at 10 loads because... I don't know. There was nothing wrong with it. It was in an autoloader too....
