I realize Ruger discontinued the 10/22 Magnum.

- did anyone ever make magazines greater than 10 rounds for the magnum? And

- does any company make a clone in .22 WMR ?

Yes about the magazines.

The factory hicap mags work way better than after market.https://grabagun.com/ruger-bx15-magnum-mag-17hmr-22m-15rd.html

Not sure about clones... I love my 10/22 magnum.

If the have the tooling and the fortitude a standard 10/22 can be converted to 22 mag. Not the easiest and some parts are needed but I have seen it done back in the day by Chief Dave.

I was scrambling to find one of those when Walmart had them on clearance for <$200 a few years ago , no luck though

Do these take the Savage rotary mags? If so, can they be modded to accept Ruger mags?

Yes, and yes, if you're handy w/ CAD & a 3-D printer.

I know it's not a 10/22 but there is also the Kel-Tec CMR30. I have a CMR30 and PMR30 and both are reliable and fun fun fun to shoot.

And yes the Savage A series has my interest for sure. I have always been happy with how the Savage MkII and 93 series bolt actions shoot.
