Yes about the magazines.

magnum research and volquartsen made similar rifles. off the top of my head Champion makes 20 round mags , pretty sure I have 1 for my Ruger American in 22wmr

If the have the tooling and the fortitude a standard 10/22 can be converted to 22 mag. Not the easiest and some parts are needed but I have seen it done back in the day by Chief Dave.

I know it's not a 10/22 but there is also the Kel-Tec CMR30. I have a CMR30 and PMR30 and both are reliable and fun fun fun to shoot.
And yes the Savage A series has my interest for sure. I have always been happy with how the Savage MkII and 93 series bolt actions shoot. |
