Anyone have any loads for a .224 Grendel?
I have a few pounds of RL17 I wanted to try with 77gr tmk’s wondering how AR Comp powder would compare.

Thanks, 80gr and 77gr at 3020fps look nice. Picked up a few bottles of CFE223 and I’ll work it up.
Any powder that works well in the Valkyrie will also do well in 224 Grendel:
Varget & RL15
I debated building one and had some notes for it I’d written down from some sources. These are with longer (~24” barrels)
28.5gr of H4895 is pushing 69gr SMKs up to 3260fps
Reloder 16 (Sixteen) & Berger 80gr VLD
25gr H4895 and 88gr ELDs are running ~2830fps
RE17 and 88gr ELD
28gr: 2777fps w/light ejector marks
29gr: 2886fps w/ ejector & extractor swipes
Got it out today to break in the barrel. With my starting loads at 26.5gr of CFE223 and 77TMK at 2.15" it is averaging 2800fps with bughole 10 shot groups.
Liking it so far, can't wait to see where it maxes out at.
Figured I’d update, I found 30gr cfe223 works well with the 77tmk at 2.13”, about .020 off lands.
Can jam them and have plenty of room left in the mag but don’t want to stick a bullet. Running up to 31.5gr I found pressure signs at 3175fps.
It’s now averaging 3015 FPS at 30gr and federal small rifle primers with no pressure signs and little stretch.
Tried 62gr bullets and saw 3400+ but copper fouling so switched back to 77s.
