Looking at picking up a crossbow
Will only be getting used for white tail deer

Maybe 500$ tops for my budget right now
Does this crossbow seem like it’ll do well?

I have both the PSE Fang & Toxic  Cross bows I have killed several Feral Hog Pigs with it and it drives tacks at 40 yards .

I have only owned two cross bows the PSE Fang and the PSE Toxic my son liked the PSE Fang so I gave it to him but not before I killed a few Feral Pigs a Coyote and a Deer with it .They work well at night with night vision scope the Sightmark Photon  OR the ultra shot Pro sight I shot most of these animals under 40 yards from a Ground Blind or Ladder stand . The fang can put a bolt in a 2" circle at 40 yards consistently I recommend the muzzy broadheads 100grain  and some Bolts with lighted noch .You will be pleased with the FANG .I have the older discontinued PSE Toxic its heaver and larger but it works very good  as well. Pick up some 4 blade 100 grain MUZZY Broadheads.
