I'm leftie so there are few to demo and few places around me to do it. I was fitted at 27" and #60. Bow is for hunting deer.

Elite GT500 bare bow  http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/showthread.php?t=5292715 Price is $310

No budget really but prefer to be reasonable with something that will be used 6x a year or so other than practice.

Bows are mostly a personal preference item anymore. The one thing I would say is if you aren't going any bigger than deer I would get a 60# bow and pass on the 70's. Elite is fine, Mathews is fine, Hoyt is fine......you see where I'm going. I probably would go for something made in the last 5 years or so.

That bowtech on the Craigslist looks pretty nice and is a pretty complete package.

I would avoid anything before 2010 or so, bow technology moves incredibly fast.

You don’t need a 70 lb bow I used to think if you weren’t pulling at least 70 you were a puss. I now pull 60 and have yet failed to pass through a deer except for this year, would have passed through had the arrow not hit the ground (shot him bedded).  You can easily have a bow turned down.

Try and shoot before you buy and plan on rolling a new string and tune into your purchase price.

I would find a local archery shop since you don't have a set budget.  You may be able to find a nice used one there and have it set up for your draw length and pull weight.  They will be able to fine tune it to your specs which makes a big difference than just picking up a bow and shooting.  A bow shop that knows what they are doing is well worth the extra cash.
