The issue code L2A2 covers both 5.56mm & 7.62mm ammunition, of British manufacture.

7.62 L2A2 , its a Nato round correct? is that the edge it has over the SA R1A1?

i didnt know it crossed over to 5.56 , is that a Nato round as well?

quality and accuracy , why does it bring more than the SA , is it availability ,quality,accuracy

also is the Radway green 5.56 all magnetic?

I could have swore... the Radway Green 5.56 62gr was underpowered because the Issued SA80's had problems with full power NATO 5.56.

I believe the South African was well made and dirt cheap... buying by the tub full was VERY common.... Priced about $315 / 2700 round tub. And packed in Plastic Battle Packs.

I don't think either were known for its precision shooting... rather for its crazy cheap pricing.

Remember... both are fairly old. And your experiences, with either, will really depend on how well it was stored after it was surplused out.

I have some surplus '01 Guat. 5.56 that I un-boxed ( thankfully ) and stored properly... it looks brand new.

so if the radway green 5.56 is the magnetic round its good to go , i cant imagine them underpowering magnetic rounds
