Standard late/improved 3 prong with grenade spring for 22mm rifle grenades. It was an early ‘60’s thing that was marketed with the 601 but didn’t gain traction for further DoD production.

I’ve got original Energa grenades, tension rings, sights, and blanks. I just have not had the time to shoot & video them in action

I have 3x grenades, like 5 springs not including one on my 601, and a sight

The original blanks are tough to get, as they only produced a couple of lots of them

Hard to find the clip on sights in excellent condition too, I've only come across two that were worthy.

I just received four 1960's magazine articles today.  This one from 1961, shows the grenade and the sight.  Cool!

While we went on to develop the 40mm grenade, the M-16 /M-231/M-4 series remains compatible w/ NATO rifle grenades, no?

Assuming you have rifle blanks, i believe so. The the duckbill, 3 prong, A1 and A2 birdcage all have the labyrinth seals in common.
