This. Cheap, simple, gets the job done, well made.

If you want slightly more features, then Edgar Sherman Design is where I'd go.

And if you want to go to the favorite of youtubers, instagrammers, and actually a fair number of doorkickers, there's the Ferro Concepts Slingster.

For just a simple 6920 though, not sure what more you'd need than the WOTG Proctor Sling.

Much appreciated!

All really good recommendations here.

I carry a rifle in vehicles and through woods all the time and haven't had my VTAC sling hang me up on anything. I highly recommend them. Very easy to get em tight for slung shooting.

Vicker's sling is supposed to be excellent as well, but I only have experience with VTACs, and magpuls. I have a WOTG ordered now. The only complaint I have heard was about using it with pig rifles.

Im going to give the ESD sling a shot... It looks like a deluxe version of the Proctor. I like the attachment options(QD).

You have a number of great options out there. I personally suggest a 2 point sling for your Colt.

I happen to use a Frank Proctor sling.

If you take the time to setup correctly, then this:

Really like my Magpul MS3 slings.

ETA: Specifically how configurable they are and there's no extranous loops and tabs to pull or snag or lock/unlock, just a slider.

2 point FTW.  Blue Force Gear VCAS is simple to operate and it works well, snugs up for front or rear carry and quick adjust for strong side and weak side firing if mounted and length adjusted properly.  Many 2 point slings are similar in operation as well.

The Blue Force Gear Vickers sling is excellent, the padded ones are great! If you wanted to keep it slimmer and trimmer I’d recommend the Slingster from Ferro Concepts. I’ve been using the BFG VCAS for quite a few years exclusively but I think I’m starting to prefer the Slingster.

Any of the two point quick adjust will work really well. Install a side sling swivel on the gun if its a standard model.

VTAC Mk1 or Mk2

BFG VCAS

Boonie Packer

Magpul

VCAS, padded or not. The only sling I'll put on my AR's.

I've only used the VTAC and VCAS in the past ten years.

I like everything about the VCAS better except that it doesn't have a very long adjustment range.

With the VTAC I cut the loop off that holds the tail so I get more adjustment.  It lets the tail dangle but has never caused me any trouble.

You have to make damn sure you don't have any dangling tail near the magwell as it will definitely fuck you on a reload at some point.

I think the VTAC is the better sling for when you need to get it slung up tight for doing things like carrying shit, climbing ladders, riding bikes, ATVs, stuff like that.

MagPul MS1 works great for my LE6920. Secure and very easy to adjust length on the fly. Using a M4 style side-sling mount up front and a QD swivel for the CTR buttstock at the rear.

Proctor is a minimalist sling, works great, but something I'd use as needed, but not something I'd want to carry for hours on end.

VCAS is a simple, less adjustable sling, I prefer the padded version.

VTAC sling, thinner, floppier, faster and easier adjustment; the one you want if you want to go "hands on" or climb something, I don't think the "tail" was ever an issue in over 6 years of usage.

I own 2x Proctor, 2x VCAS, no longer own any VTAC but would buy/use one anytime.  Just want as little metal as possible on the sling itself.

Overall, if you just want a basic sling, I'd go padded VCAS.
VTAC if you need to be able to cinch it tight, but the materials are less stiff.
Proctor if you want the absolute lightest, but very bare bones.

I have both the VTAC padded and the Blue Force Gear VCAS unpadded. I’ve only had a chance to try the BFG VCAS so far in a 10K biathlon with very wet and very muddy conditions. Strength-wise it held up great. It’s a strong sling. But once it got wet and and caked with mud, it was real difficult to use the tab to adjust it to tighten or loosen. Not sure how the VTAC would’ve fared under the same conditions.

This is my current choice. With a para clip on each end, a Colt tactical sling mount on the barrel, and an VLTOR SASE end plate. Had to de-stake the buffer nut to do it.
