What do I need to do to get that "snappy" safe---fire on my selector? most of mine are more of a slide around to the fire position. I want the snappy fast click from safe to fire....

This and replacing the detent if yours is rounded off. I prefer the smoothness myself as long as it is positive.

Lubricate the detent and spring, clean the channel they ride in (a pipe cleaner works well).

I only use stainless steel detents. Really makes a difference.

A better quality selector if you're using the cheap ones that come in some LPKs. Radian is a good choice.

Geissele Posi-Snap. You will have to remove about 1/8" or 2-3 coils from the spring so it's not overly tight. I use a grinder, but you can cut them. My favorite safeties now.

Buy a V7 Selector and never look back. BY MILES the best, positive click, smoothest rotate selector I have used.

A 45 or 60 degree throw doesn't hurt either...
