With .22 Nosler and .224 V hitting 3000fps+ with 77gr ammo out of 24" barrels, I'm curious how 5.56 77gr performs from a similar barrel length.

Does anyone here have any chrono results from the 24"?

Shit 262 runs ~2750 out of an 18” barrel, gotta be close to ~2900 in a 24”. Not super competitive with the Valkyrie, but still rolling for a 77gr bullet out of an AR.

So far the initial chrono testing shows 3030fps with a 75gr from a 24" barrel .224 Valkyrie, which is why I'm so curious about how the MK262 performs from the same barrel length.

I’ve heard anything from 2800-3000. 2900 is probably realistic. The Valkyrie has about 5% more powder than the 5.56x45, the reason for it is longer, sleeker bullets not more power. It’s very similar ballisticslly to a 5.56 with bullets seated out to 2.5”.

Bump.

Anyone got any actual data one way or the other?

Yeah that's hot.  That max load of Accurate even at the max OAL of 2.260" is probably getting pretty compressed (crunchies when seating).
