Shit 262 runs ~2750 out of an 18” barrel, gotta be close to ~2900 in a 24”. Not super competitive with the Valkyrie, but still rolling for a 77gr bullet out of an AR.

If it helps at all... Ramshot Powder uses a 24" barrel with both .223 and 5.56 data.
I suspect the 5.56 loads are pretty danged hot.... The HOTTEST 5.56 loads shows this... Accurate 2520 77 SIERRA HPBT MK 23.0 2,674... 25.5 2,925 ...62,200 2.260 and this from TAC... 77 SIERRA HPBT MK 22.3 2,648.... 24.8 2,902.... 61,500 2.260 .223 is much milder... Accurate 2520 77 SIERRA HPBT MK 21.7 2,553.... 24.1 2,785.... 54,800 2.260 And TAC... 77 SIERRA HPBT MK 21.1 2,483.... 23.4 2,759..... 54,500 2.260 |

Yeah that's hot. That max load of Accurate even at the max OAL of 2.260" is probably getting pretty compressed (crunchies when seating).
