Nothing 2017 manufacture and newer that I have heard.
I've run through ~700 rds of it from Midway this year issue free. |

Lotta issues with 2016 lots being over pressured and blowing primers.
Eta: M193 and 77 Razorcore exclusively, IIRC. |

The new lots post 2016 have unfortunately been downloaded from true M193 spec by about 100 FPS. A shame since IMI was one of the best M193 5.56 types out there.

I shot some 2016 77gr Razorcore in my 6920 and the recoil felt very harsh compared to other 556 ammo and the empty casings were discolored more then usual after firing but no blown primers, I’ve got some 2017 manufacture 77gr now.

2 LWRC barrels have no issues with the hot lots, had one BA and an FN 20” barrel ran it too.
my BCM choked on it. just depends on how old the chamber reamer is maybe? worn out reamer makes a smaller chamber right? |

As for rumors... IMI has over the last 3 decades produced GREAT "M" spec ammo... and quite a few over pressure lots.
Winchester Q3131A had some hotter then Hades lots. Federal Independence line had some hotter then Hades lots And IMI has had the dubious distinction of having numerous hotter then Hades lots over those decades. IMHO... IMI typically rides the throttle on all its 5.56 ... so much so, that any little change ( different hotter powder lot ) pops the primers. I am not knocking IMI products, I have a lot of IMI from over the years..... when it is GTG, it is a heck of a value for true "milspec quality" 5.56 And given the huge amount of different chamber dimensions ( including right down to, over used, worn out chamber reamers ) it is no surprise many people have seen pressure issues. I have never popped any IMI primers, however... I limit my firing of IMI produced ammo ( Winc. Q3131A, Independence, and IMI ) to 5.56 chambers... NO .223 Wylde.. with that said, I have on numerous times recorded crazy fast chrono'd velocities from the various IMI produced M193 and M855 Even the fired brass shows the abuse from the excess pressure... I shudder to think what the results would be when firing a High pressure IMI from a tight , short throated 5.56 or .223 chamber. |

IMI is about all that I shoot, 193, 855, MK262 clone. Thousands of rounds this year. I had 2 primers pop, both on Razor Core 77 gr, both, iirc, in a Noveske LCLP barrel, both same lot, same box.
