Does it matter if the gas tube roll pin (one that holds the gas tube in the gas block)
is inserted starting of the right or the left side ?

No.
I just squeeze it in with some channel locks wrapped in electrical tape to prevent scuffing.

Gas tube roll pin has no direction preference. Whatever feels good, man.
