The only other company that I know of that does the XM grey is SNF I don’t have any experience with them but I’m sure someone here does. You can also go with Norrells moly resin or sniper grey cerakote. The Norrells is what I’ve done and it’s a damn near perfect match provided it’s done right

I attempted to contact SnF multiple times by email and phone. Nothing was returned. YMMV. What I ended up doing is having my parts anodized black locally so I can apply Norrell's over it.

Is it necessary to remove the old anodizing before using Norrells or just spray over it?

Degrease and spray over. The anodizing helps hold onto the paint.

It never hurts to give it a light dusting in a blast cabinet to even out the surface and give the Norrells something to stick to. |

I had to do some mods to the upper so I will probably give it a light dusting before using the Norrell.
