I just ordered 2000 rounds from Aimsurplus. My go to is Federal 193. But the wolf gold is $500 plus shipping. So we’ll see. I see mostly good reviews for it. Saw a couple from 2017 about rims being sheared off cases stuck. Could been the rifle . But I’ll try it out. Y’all have any issues with this ammo ? Wardawg

I've shot the Wolf Gold in 223 with zero issues. I would assume the M193 would be no different.

Wolf WM193 White Box isn't remotely close to being a 5.56mm M193 load.

I recently went through 500 rounds of it. No problems and it's accurate enough for what it is. As others have said, it's not actual M193.

I've always assumed they were actually the same thing.
If they aren't, they are close enough. Thousands of rounds of wolf gold and never had a single issue with it in several rifles. |

I would compare Wolf white box m193 to PMC X-Tac. Recoil, flash, accuracy, performance almost identical. Federal XM193 is obviously hotter when shooting back to back, more flash, faster bolt\recoil, and more forward ejection. I don't have a chrono but I would guess the PMC and Wolf are about the same. If Wolf is claiming this is m193 spec it's definitely on the lower end. I've shot a couple cases of it, runs great no problems at all. Same so-so acceptable accuracy as the PMC and Federal.

Brass cased Taiwanese made and Wolf branded 223 ammo has and is highly regarded
But, many were wanting a M193 5.56 variant of that ammo Wolf put the same ammo in a white box labeled M193 and shooters were excited to now have 5.56 ammo It is the same ammo (at least it was. Maybe they contacted Taiwan and they made a newer variation? Post if so) |
