Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Will Magpul Followers Work in OKAY 20 Round Mags?

I’ve never purchased in any the OKAY/Colt 20 rounds mags and I’d like to add 10-20 to my collection. I can only find them with either green or black followers for sale, and was wondering if the Magpul followers will work in these mags, and still function properly?

They will, but you won't gain anything by doing it as self leveling followers have no advantage in a straight body magazine, which is why Magpul's new 20's are curved.

20 round followers are supposed to tilt, putting anti tilt followers will reduce reliability.

So it sounds like I'm just better off running them as is when I get them. It never occurred to me about the straight body making a difference with the different followers.

They'll bind up at about 17-18 rounds.

The follower has to tilt in a straight mag.

For Okay 20rd mags you'll want black plastic followers or aluminum followers (original or reproduction).

This. Do not use an anti-tilt follower in a straight magazine.

If you get the 20 round magazines that are shorter 30s, that have the curve in them, then the anti-tilt followers will work.
