I looked around, but they seem to be out of stock everywhere... Any leads? I'm specifically looking for the grey dry film lube finished ones.

I'd probably go with Brownells if I couldn't get Okay's. I'm a sucker for the straight bodies.

I’ve subscribed to in-stock notifications for them at Primary Arms. They seem to get more in pretty frequently. Not sure how long that will last. The last I read on here, Okay is getting out of making magazines.

Yeah, I'm wondering if they might've already discontinued the 20 production.

Fortunately, I've already stocked up on all the mags I thought I'd need for a couple lifetimes. But, I was just looking to stack a few more before the ban hammer officially slams down here in Washington.

I didn't go through the entire checkout process, but it lets me add 12 to cart and go through all the motions up to entering CC info.

Thanks. Ive been looking for grey ones.

Ordered 25 and they charged my card.

I got 20 black ones from Rainier Arms that were delivered today. They still have them listed as in stock for anyone looking: https://www.rainierarms.com/okay-industries-surefeed-ar-15-5-56-magazine-black-20rd/

Recently bought 2 Okay grey 20's from PA. Neither will drop free in 4 out of 5 lowers.  Too tight in 2 of the lowers, have to pull firmly to remove.

Got 2 Okay black Surefeed 30's at the same time, they drop free in all lowers.

Lancer, Magpul & Stoner 20's all drop free in all the lowers.

I won't do Okay 20's anymore

I ordered 10  grey okay 20s from Shooting surplus on 5/25. On 5/29 they issued a refund for them and sent email stating they were out of stock but on backorder no eta.
Checked website that day they were still listed. They are only site in awhile that still has the 20 fdes.

Luckily, I didn't actually place an order yet. I was going to email them first to ask if they actually had any in stock.

They were the first 2 places I checked yesterday. Does indeed have to be grey dry lube finished for me since I never warmed up to the Teflon FDE or black finishes. Even if I were buying D&H they'd have to be their grey Teflon.

I know function is what's important, but with the 20s they just have to look right with the retro builds. Going to the Brownells 20s as a substitute is about as much compromise as I'd be willing to do.

That's cool, just right now beggars can't be choosers at this point

But FWIW, I too have a black 20 aversion as well.

Luckily I'm not hurting for mags or I'd just have to take what I could get with the short window I have left... Mostly I'm concerned with getting a good stockpile of stripped lowers before they cram an AW ban or parts ban through. I may just have to take my chances there with a case of Anderson's.

I read on here someplace that PSA? bought/considered buying the rights and possibly equipment from OKAY so they could produce the mags in the future.  I read that one time and have not seen it said or mentioned anyplace else so I think that might have been pie in the sky wishful thinking, but if anyone knows any more information about this possible acquisition please chime in.

Never mind.  I found the post and it was just someone saying they hoped PSA or someone would buy their expertise and tooling.

What brand of lowers?

  • Aero Precision M4E1 - drops free

  • 17 Design billet & IFLR - drops free.

  • 17 Design forged - slightly tight,  falls out with a shake

  • Anderson AM-15 - slightly tight, light pull to remove

  • RTB (Cerro forge) 80% - too tight, firm pull to remove

  • Battle Arms Workhorse - WAY too tight, VERY firm pull to remove

The 17 Design billet & IFLR are new since testing the first 5 lowers.

The Okay grey 20's are date code: 5-21

Interesting... I would not have expected a tight mag well from Battle Arms Development.

I used to have an old 2003 Windham/Bushy lower that was tight with Okay/NHMTG 20 round mags. Those same mags worked fine in everything else though.

Nor would I, but what I find more perplexing is that all the other brands & all the 30's (including Okay Surefeed) fit perfectly in all 7 lowers!.

Unfortunately for me, I bought the 2 Grey Okays to use in 2 "Grey theme" guns: one with the BAD lower, the other with the RTB lower!  The 2 worst fits, arrgh!

Forgot to mention before, I had an Amend2 30 that also fit & fell free from the 1st 5 lowers.  Sold it with the Anderson (worked fine on that gun).

On a lark, I just pulled the Okays out & took some measurements.  The engineering drawing lists the width at 0.883" (no tolerance shown).

Both measure 0.881" at the rear, but 0.895" at the front. 0.012" over spec, so the sides not quite parallel, over-thick at the front, and probably the cause.

Sending you an IM.

Took a chance yesterday and put in an order with ShootingSurplus for 6 of the Okay Industries grey 20s and they shipped earlier today... Surprised the heck out of me.

They only had 19 that I could put in my cart at the time of my order, but today they have a bunch more and they raised the price little.

I'm glad to see that these are still available.

I'm set at this point and my initial post looking for these was out of a bit of panic trying to get just a few more before the Washington mag ban came into effect on July 1st. I'm no longer allowed to buy any mag over 10 rounds from here on out in this stupid state.

The Washington AWB is coming down the pike pretty quickly and I've stocked up for that just as well.
