55gr Speer gold dot or 77gr black hills tipped mk262. The black hills is more expensive

The rifle is a 14.5” with eotech and no magnifier.

I'd say 262 but it depends on what you're using it for

This is home defense/ shtf defensive ammo. Is the tipped match king load better than the regular match king load?

The tipped (tmk) expands/frags more consistently and at lower velocities, so yes I would say its better for HD/sd than the smk.

Some have said that at too high of velocity it expands too much and lacks adequate penetration, though.

All that said, give me the Gold Dots for HD/SD.

Gold Dots.  Better intermediate barrier performance, consistent expansion to low velocities, good enough accuracy/consistency out to a couple hundred yards easy.

Mk262 for long range.

I pretty much agree with this, but if money is no object, I'd go with the TMK over the SMK for long distance. It has a higher ballistic coefficient and lower velocity for expansion threshold.

Wow loaded question with very few operational parameters.

If I had to shoot at a target 9" in diameter, only have 5 seconds to acquire and fire with operational ranges between 25 yards to 300 yards. The pick is the 55 grain assuming that your rifle likes them.
