I have several AR’s with 512’s and recently decided to try a G45.  I don’t have a riser so to align the reticle with the magnifier I had to remove the riser from the G45.  That resulted in having to remove the ARMS40 rear sight (yes I’m old school and still living in the past).  Also that pretty low and my messed up neck would prefer a little more height.  

Does anyone have a suggestion for a taller mount for the 512?  I’ve had an XPS3 and liked it but prefer the AA’s in the 512 and don’t have a need for NV capability anymore.  

I'm old school too. I've had good luck with the Larue lt110. That one works best though if you have the aimpoint magnifyer and the other Larue mount that attaches to the rear raised picatinny portion. Ran mine that way for a long time. If you are looking for a cheaper option that also allows the ARMs #40 as well as the spacer on the eotech mag mount, you can go with the yhm 1/2" riser. I too used that one for a while and it's solid.

This pic is with an xps3-0 which is the same height mount as a 512/552. This is the Larue lt110 with an aimpoint mag and the short Larue ring for co-witnessing the aimpoint mag. This mount and the yhm mount put the 512/552 at EXPS-0 height which is the same height as the g45 with a spacer. Hope this helps.
