Detents, detent springs, buffer retainer spring, and other fully shrouded parts that don't typically get disassembled.

I've only used CLP, but I hear some use lithium grease.  What's the proper lubricant/protectant?  What do most manufacturers use?

I always use a synthetic grease on parts I hope to not see again within 10k rounds.  Oil will migrate, and cheap greases tend to gum up or harden

I use TW25. Not cheap but it works.

aeroshell.  same stuff for the barrel nut...mostly cause i already have it and it's usually out.
