I need a sling to carry my 16" carbine in front of my chest while riding around the farm on my ATV. Something that I can then slide over onto my shoulder when I get off the ATV to do fence maintenance and check my traps.
I have no idea what I should be looking for. Any suggestions? |

I’m not a sling expert, but I have many. Based on what you want to use it for, I’d suggest a 2 point that’s padded, or at least wide, for comfort. So, no lightweight, 1 inch, “operator” slings. I’ll also say that among some above suggestions, BFG slings have much more texture and are much more rigid than smoother, more supple Magpul slings. |

These are decent for a simple, low cost sling of quality material. Amazon Chinese Knockxoffs are even less. Add whatever connectors you need. Joe Bob has a Grovtec version with QDs and added bungee, and also carries various Grovtec sling hardware. Skinnier and lighter basic sling would be the Proctor sling. |
