What about Raine Tactical - Marine Corps Issued Sling?
Link Posted: 8/31/2020 2:34:13 AM EST
I’ve recently bought two slingsters and two LaRue slings for my rifles and I am liking both of those kinds of slings a lot. That said, I do have a Vickers AK sling on order, so hopefully that’ll work out as well.

I thought I remember the proctor slings being a good bit cheaper than most options like $30? I just checked and they're like $44. In that case I'd go BFG Vickers.

EMDOM URS is my favorite. Tried the VTAC, VCAS, Slingster and a bunch of others but I always come back to the URS. For work slings I like enough slack to shoot standing, and cinch down snug for climbing, dancing around, etc. The buckle works great for quick adjustments, feels about as fast as the Slingster.

Anyway the URS does what I need and it's still under $20 currently. Hard to beat.

ETA: This one's been to AFG and SYR, holding up quite well.

I have two Vickers, a VTAC, a Sierra Tac, and the TRex Arms. Honestly the TRex is now my favorite. They are all great, they are all just slings.

The Vickers is huge and long, compared to the others. The VTAC is made of really "floppy" material, although it doesn't matter with the weapon slung.

Will be picking up a ferro one day too.

I have a Blue Force Gear unpadded and a Magpul MS4. So far I’m very happy with both.

I've used most of the 2 point slings from Specter Gear, and I really like all of them.

Do you have any familiarity with the Vickers slings?

I’m considering what I want to do with my new build. Vickers padded is on my other build.

I am considering the ms4 or another Vickers (non padded though. The padded is bulky)

Ok my mind is made up. These are awesome. Ranger and coyote non-padded is the tits. And qd swivels are cheap.

$3.00 US GI silent sling. Perfectly serviceable, cheap and effective.

NO PLASTIC KEEPERS EVER!

I like parts of the grey ghost gear sling. They use the hypalon material. Its super thin and light, but the adjustment method absolutely sucks, so it sits in a box.

Im really liking the Stark Sling from Citizen gear co. I have a few. Good quality and adjustment and cant beat the price. Hes an arfcommer too.

Armageddon Carbine sling, best sling out there.

I use BFG unpadded for my work rifle and all my personal guns except my SCAR 17, which has a padded version. I also have a slingster as a spare, but it's only ever been used once and that was by a hunting buddy who didn't yet have a sling for his SCAR, so I leant him mine.

Trex arms, emdom E-MM gunslinger, magpul ms1....

Just went through the sling dilemma - I had a BFG sling through two deployments as a grunt and it did fine. I was between a couple of those and a Vickers until I stumbled across Warhorse Tactical. It liked that they are THIN. I ordered a few to try out and so far I am a big fan. The price is also pretty good.

Unpopular opinion but I have never liked padded slings unless I was packing a M249/240.

Troy has a relatively new series (or so I think) called the T-Series. Sportsman’s has them in stock at their shop and I price-matched one from LockedLoaded for  $25. Great, American made sling for the price.

Call me a relic, but I like a plain ole 1-1/4" web sling with a quick adjusting slider.

I was running the MS4 before I picked up the TR-1.  I liked my MS4 but the buckle/slider was the major hang up (literally), it was too slow to move and get it adjusted correctly while running drills.  The "T" pull on the TR-1 is the tits.

Digging that QD point.

I’ve been using the BFG Vickers padded sling for many years now. I’m very happy with how easy it is to adjust and work around.

I’ve got one of their 221 slings on order which seems like it might be very good. I’m gonna see how much I use the 2 to one point during classes in 2021 hopefully.

When I shoot from barricades or really weird positions I’ll just take my arm form under the 2 point and it basically is retained around the back of my neck if that makes sense. Makes it easy to get into unusual positions or switch shoulders for me rather than letting slack in and out all the time.

Been working for me for a long time.  Same one I use on the M1 and M1A rifles.  Not the old two clip single thickness nylon web we had on them in basic and AIT in 1975.

Better for quick adjustments than a Blue Force and more comfortable.

I've always grabbed magpul slings until I tried a Vickers qd sling I ordered 2 more a few days later.

So simple and nice, I'll update everything with these soon.

I got one padded but think the non padded is my favorite.
