What 5.56 Ammo is the Israeli Army Using? 55g, 62g, 77g? With all the IMI types around, I am wondering why kind they make for their own consumption.

I believe IMI SS109 is general issue.

Does that mean their "regular" Army all has 1:7 twist barrels?

I highly doubt any A1s are in front line service.

I seem to recall 20" A1 barrels from Israel were available with 1x7 twist many years ago.

Am I imagining things?

I've read on Israeli sites that they rebarreled some of the A1s with M4 barrels and cut down A2 barrels, so they should all be 1:7. I, too, would like to know what bullet weight they're using.
