I spent a few hours perusing the interewbs, can't identify it. Found it at my deceases BIL's Vietnam era house of hoarding.

I bet that's a SP1 upper. The pivot pin hole looks pretty big.

Yep, with a Leatherwood/repro-Leatherwood mount. I've used one with an old Colt/Tasco rubber-armored Delta Elite scope.

Used to be quiet common in the 1980's.

Yep, those scope mounts were very common in the 1980's.

Yep, SP1 upper.
I have 3 low to zero mileage complete SP1 AR15 rifles to sell, too, just haven't had time to post them up.
One of them is wearing an M16 HBAR upper with factory bipod (M60?). I think the M16A1 model was a 601, sold the lower in a wholesale NFA selloff to a big dealer. By the time I figured out the HBAR upper belonged to the M16A1 HBAR lower described in the Form 4, the dealer didn't want the upper. Selling off all this stuff from an estate.

The first scope mount that I ever used on my AR.

As I recall, it badly needed the addition of a teflon washer or some such to tension the lock-up.
