I can't find any reviews on this optic. Any users here? I know there are favorable reviews for the 2.5-10 gen 1 version.

I looked through one two separate times, the glass is super nice and the turrets felt amazing. I plan on buying one when funds allow it.

3-15 is less than 2 ounces heavier and you can get the EBR-2C reticle which allows for quick windage holds without dialing.

Same cost, slightly longer but not enough to matter IMHO.

I recently bought the 3-15 and while I haven't had time to really wring it out, I am impressed with the glass and it appears to track perfectly so far.

I haven't run a box drill but when dialing for wind and elevation it has come back to perfect zero when I run it back to the zero stop.

I'm putting one on my MK12/SPR type gun.  Thought about the 3-15 But it's just too much for my intended role

I was intending to put it on a recce style upper. I am sure it is a fine optic, but I can't find any reviews anywhere about it!

Well, probably not terribly helpful OP but I owned and used the hell out of the Viper Pst gen 1 2.5-10x and it is excellent. 2.5-10x is a great practical size, weight, and magnification.

I now own a Viper PST Gen II 5-25x. The Gen 1 was great and the improvements of the Gen II just make it that much better.

I’ve had one for about 5 months and really enjoy it.  It is a far superior optical experience to the 2.5-10x32.  I have a mil gen 1 I’m about to list on the EE.  The weight is noticeable but between the turrets, illumination adjustment relocation, and bright glass I was able to overlook the heft.  The .5x lower magnification combined with wider field of view allows me to run this scope both eyes open nearly as effectively as the Accupower 1-8 that it replaced.  The EBR-4 reticle makes accusation on 2x much easier than the EBR-1.  Practically speaking the EBR-4 is a much more useful reticle and allows for wind holds out to 500 or 600 yards with 5MPH.  Any more and you need to dial.  Only complaint is the weight.  Only modifications i’d love to see would be a capped or lower profile turret option and a reticle similar to the EBR-2C.

I have a 3–15 Gen II on a bolt gun and it is an excellent scope also.

Came to post thoughts similar to those above. The gen 1 was a real standout in the PST line, and I have two. The 2 is probably a lot nicer, but it put on a lot of weight. It’s a good half pound heavier, and somehow it’s only 2oz lighter than the 3-15. I see little reason to choose it over the 3-15.

I still go out of my way to pick up used Gen 1’s over the new Gen 2 for the weight savings alone.

I was going to get the 2.5-10x, but the 3-15x was only $50 bucks more, so I went with it instead.

I have that scope on my 18" Grendel, I really like the scope a lot. I also have the gen 1 version, but I prefer the gen 2 by a mile.

The glass is improved and the turrets are way better on the gen 2.
As far as the weight differences go, I don't really notice a few ounces one way or the other. If it did matter, I would find a way to loose a few ounces on the rifle somewhere else because the glass is worth it to me.
