Vortex put up a teaser for a Gen 2 UH1. Looks like it will have NV settings. I will probably get one, if the price isn't rediculous.

Will they fix the clipping problem when the reticle goes to the left...I hope so.
|
|
|
I'm interested!
Maybe they'll have some kind of special when you buy a Razor HD Gen III 1-10x along with the new UH-1 Gen II. |
|
I LOVE my gen 1, interesting to see what changes are in store for gen 2.
|
|
If it's NV compatible I'm going to be getting several of them.

Quoted: Have you ever had an issue with that while shooting? I never noticed it until now. View Quote Yes...if I transition fast from left to right...I will lose the reticle...every time...EOtech didn't do this...so went back to it...but if Vortex has fixed that issue...I will go back to a UH1... |

Vortex mentioned on their FB page that the external design would look different? I'm definitely interested if so and the optic being US made is a plus.

Lots of lightening cuts, it seems: https://personal.visualitymedia.com/personal/misc/uh1.png I was hoping they would reduce the hood size and length so it didn't look as bulky. |

Oh yes, this will be mine. Looks great from that angle.
I will reward companies who innovate and improve their product line. The EXPS is about a decade old if I'm not mistaken. |

Quoted: Left shoulder to right shoulder? View Quote Negative...transitioning from target to target...or when I simulate clearing close quarters and you are in awkward angles/head positions... My UH1 example was terrible...it would clip the reticle a good 1" before the reticle hit the left edge of the optic...the right edge of the optic did not exhibit this issue.... |

View Quote More like style cuts. Seems they’re going for the HALO aesthetic. |

Quoted: Since when?!? Not being sarcastic....loved the UH1 except the clipping. View Quote I don't know exactly when this was addressed. My original UH1 from 2018 exhibits a little bit of the "clipping", but not enough to notice while actually shooting. It also has a very small blue tint, only noticeable inside against a white wall. The second one I ordered at the beginning of 2019 has no blue tint, and the reticle goes smoothly from edge to edge. I emailed vortex and they did state that they did make those updates. |

Cool, I've wanted to look through the regular one as I heard the outer ring isn't as dot-like as Eotech. Wonder how they compare parallax wise.....

Good thing I saw this post. I almost added this to the collection ??

I have been using Gen 1 UH-1 pretty much since it came out. It has not skipped a beat.
I will definitely be testing Gen2. ILya |

Don't know why, but this optic calls me..... I may jump in and get one...
I'm liking the reticle and the features. Wonder what the battery life is? |

Can you stream Netflix on it...cause guard duty gets pretty boring...
