Anyone else having an oddly difficult time mounting their TAPS directly to an MLOK rail?

As someone who owns over 10 MLOK rails and has mounted and unmounted dozens upon dozens of MLOK accessories I'm just confused. My newly purchased TAPS switch refuses to mount onto my BCM MLOK rails and after 20 minutes of trying I think I'm done for now. On the last attempt the top part of the threads on one of the nuts literally broke off, never seen metal that soft/thin used as hardware on any MLOK accessories.
