Looking at the picatinny version of the Hot Button, mounted behind a MBUS Pro front sight...will a lower 1/3 optic such as an EXPS3 clear the hot button? In other words, will it be in direct line of sight or FOV when looking through the optic?

No it does not. You can barely even see your thumb in the line of sight while it’s sitting on the Hot Button
