Does anyone have some good ideas for storage of these items? I'm mostly wanting to consolidate and keep small parts for when I go to the range (Glock parts, ar15 bolt, springs, gas rings), stuff like that mostly. I've used fishing plastic boxes in the past and made them work but I'm betting someone has a good idea they use.

I just went through this, I will snap a pic when I get back in the shop today. I used a cheap wall shelf with drawers and sharpie labels.

I'm in the fishing tackle stage, but thinking of changing to a nice wall mounted parts bin. Tools all fit into two Craftsman chests. One of which is dedicated to general use tools, such as wrenches and screwdrivers.  The other is a half chest on my bench with all gunsmithing specific tools.

I'm an idiot, I just read the title. Maybe Tupperware in a bag like below would work for the range?

It is much more convenient to carry a spare pistol or spare rifle.  My parts stay at home.

This convenient tool holder is always in my truck.

I use this to strap around the entire case to help prevent accidental opening and all the parts flying out:

I use this one because you can stack others of the same line so it’s handy to keep everything somewhat contained yet mobile. One for parts, one for cleaning supplies, one for tools etc.

I use a combination of the MTM SPUD1, SPUD2, SPUD6 and SPUD7 portable storage boxes. A spud 7 caries my general range stuff, and other boxes are dedicated to Pistoll accessories, AR rifle parts/tools, Shotgun stuff, and a box for other stuff.

SPUD 1 and 2

SPUD 6 & 7

They have a divided compartment in the lid, a tray in the main compartment and larger area under the tray. Each box is labeled on top with DYMO letter tape.

For Home I have this for spare AR parts:

That would satisfy my OCD nicely.

Right now I'm using a home Depot HDX parts organizer but I have to put the individual parts into baggies to ensure they stay together. Have one for AR parts and one full of USGI 1911 parts.
