I'm looking for a rubber butt pad for a CAR stock. I've apparently become spoiled by the rubber on my MagPul and LWRC stocks because now the Colt CAR stock seems slippery as hell. I'd like to avoid adding any more length than necessary so I'd like the thinnest one available.

Suggestions?

Triburst, and that is a great name, by the way, I checked to see if my old school VLTOR ones would fit the CAR stock I have, but no go.
Nothing else I have around here would work either, but it should be possible to trim something to fit but otherwise I draw a blank.
One of those younguns will probably be along with a link to one, but personally, I have never seen one.
Would actually like one myself as well.

I'd love to find a US source for something like this:
https://www.nordicmarksman.com/sliding-buttstock-assembly-black.html

Is this kind of what you guys are thinking of as well?

There's a Japanese Taiwanese airsoft-products company that makes a fair replica of the Canadian pad:

That looks perfect. Surely someone sells one in the USA.

I think the problem is that it's a Diemaco/Colt Canada part, and they have an agreement with Colt not to export to the US. I could be wrong about that, but Diemaco parts are pretty scarce down here.

Meanwhile, I'm also looking at these.

If you just want no-slip, how about a few pieces of "skater tape" ?

Rubber skate tape would work better.

I actually tried some of that but it doesn’t stick great to the little points on the butt of the stock.

Plasti-Dip may be worth the try, the one you dip things into vs the spray.  If you don't like it, it will peel right off, even if dipped several times to build up a nice thick coat.

John Masen with zip tie for authenticity.
