Went to the range this morning and had a new range master that didn’t know me so he ask me to shoot my way up to the 600 yard. What the cmp does is they make your shoot at 100 yrds then 2 and 300 then on to 600 if you can keep 3 shots in the black. Started at 200 and fired 3 rounds dam near hole in a hole but little low and to the right. One click left and one click up and dead center hole in a hole. So I get to go to the 300, Couple clicks up and 3 shots all touching and now I’m excited to hit the 600. Right before I insert the mag the range gets shut down to fix a target. They said it be about 30 min so I just got a rain check and will go back tomorrow, they already stole my mojo anyways. This is with a preban colt Hbar.

You're shooting hole-in-a-hole at 300 yards with irons? Am I just the worst most garbage shooter ever? Because that's unbelievable to me.

If you have the right gun and have it dialed in it’s not that hard to do. The heavy barrel 20” can do it. The secret is having a good and constant hold point on the target. If your just aiming in the middle of a target that’s not going to work.
Smaller the dot the better. If you hold your front sight right on the top or bottom edge of the target you will shoot tight groups.
Now 600 yards was a different story. Wind plays a huge part now

Small world. I live in cullman too.

I too keep hearing about this range and probably need to go there one day. I just hate long drives.
I also just bought 9.5 acres of land and have built my own personal 100 yard range on it. So that tends to keep me busy. Though several guns I have need more distance than that.

Cullman shooters would be right at home on this range. They do not like black people shooting there.

Would you mind elaborating on your technique. That's seriously impressive.

I live 15 mins away from it now, moved in with my son.

I've been there and there has been black shooters there and no one cared. One gentleman is a regular on the Trap range.

Lived in Arab for a year.

Never made it to a gun range, but sure did shoot a bunch of archery tourneys.

Used to be a archery shop in Cullman...I believe that guy owned/ran name was Denny?.....this was back in 98-99.
