Love the upper assembly, except that the pins are impossible to get out of the FSB. (Bought a DD low profile gas block, as I intend to have a rifle length 4 rail handguard free floated on it.) I think I may have to Dremel it off.

Don't chop up the FSB if you can avoid it. You may want to put it back on later.

I think there are some posts that walk you through removing the FSB.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they come out right to left.  I will soon be removing mine as well once I get my Larue Rail.  Does anyone here have experience with removing FSB's on BCM uppers that can offer some tips?

Wait a minute!!  They're making stainless barrels as well?

What is the profile under the handguards? Looks to be slightly beefed up from regular government profile.

All very nice looking rifles, wish they were available north of the border.

Love this thread, I'm hoping I get lucky in "BCM Upper Roullette" in the next round.

For those that have free-floated their midlengths (or carbines for that matter), what kind of accuracy are you getting?

Also, more pics please.

Thanks Jeff,

I've read that post before and agree with the spirit of it (I was just reading the thread where you did your comparison of features & cost between BCM and BM as well, actually).  I was just looking for a ballpark sort of figure on what folks have been capable of doing with a BCM upper and barrel.

You're preaching to the choir too on the value of BCM's products.  I have a BCM FA BCG sitting at home getting lonely looking for a mate.  I'm signed up for email notification and I spend way too much time on the BCM uppers page hitting F5 hoping to see "IN STOCK!".

There pretty much all I own now. The top one is a middy and the bottom is a standard carbine...The Gold standard for me...

Not one picture of a 20" upper (or did I miss it)???  Come on, somebody has to have one that they can post a picture of!!  I want one just can't decide whether I can wait until next summer.

Man I've got a BCM bolt carrier assembly sitting at home in the wrapper waiting for a 16" middy upper to put it in.

Someday the madness has got to end...

My pic sucks compared to the others in this thread, but my camera is broken so I had to use my phone.

Anvil Arms lower, BCM upper, DD Omega 9.0, LaRue UDE kit.  Fakepoint (for now)

Hey USMC03, who makes the rig in your photo? I'm curious about the vest itself.

ETA: Actually I'm curious about all of it.

Not Jeff.

The rig was a custom build for Jeff. It was his idea/design. (His intellectual property so to speak.) The guy who made the rigs is no longer in the gear business. So, alas and alak, the likes of these will never be seen again.

Thanks for the info. It's a shame that they're not being produced because those rigs look like they're functional, simple, and comfortable. Too bad.

ETA: I realize this is a photo thread, and I will be posting one here as soon as I can take some pics.

+1.  I'm paying ADCO $125 for a new one and install :(

I did get mine off and I had to cut up a two by four to make a cradle, drill holes for the pins to come out through.  I had to lay it on the concrete garage floor and beat the shit out of them to get them out. REALLY quick strong snappy whacks will do it eventually...

This may be stupid question, but what brand are the upper recievers on the BCM website. There is no BCM stamp. This is just the upper rec, no barrel, CH or BA.
