Not a complete upper, but both a QRF and MCMR live on my builds.
Qrf lives on the 6.5 Grendel, and the MCMR on the 16" lw build.

An old friend revisited. My first mid length upper. This rifle has been through an NRA instructor class, an active shooter class, and who know what else. It has had all kinds of furniture and optics on it, and now it looks like this. It will live on as a general purpose carbine and a training tool. BCM 16" mid length government profile barrel. BCM BCG and carry handle. A2 furniture. Magpul enhanced trigger guard. Still a faithful old friend. |

Decided to go back to basics, have been downsizing and streamlining my collection to focus on other things. Got rid of the overpriced/outdated clone stuff in lieu of an 11.5 BCM BFH MCMR Upper for my SBR'ed Colt lower. Upper is a tack driver, I've been getting consistent MOA or better grouping using 55 gr Fiocchi and just the Eotech/G33 Combo.
One thing I did was remove the BCM gas block (which was a giant pain in the ass) and replace with a Black River Tactical gas block with their custom tune gas port to tame down the large factory port that BCM drills on these barrels. I went with .065 port with an H2 buffer and standard carbine recoil spring and it functions perfectly both suppressed and unsuppressed with both the Fiocchi and milspec ammunition that I run through my AR's (M193/M855/MK262). Cut down on the gas GREATLY and is probably one of the softest shooting setups I've had to date. Still playing with the setup (LAM forward or rear), and haven't decided between Eotech or CompM5, but the rifle itself is in the form that It's going to stay for awhile as of now.
