Seen this optic on sale on different websites. Anyone with any pro/con experiences?

I have one, only issue for someone might be is its size and weight, but it pretty large eye and objective lenses, and gives a pretty clear picture.

I like mine.    It is big. And it is heavy.

But the fov is better than any other 5x prism out there and is neck and neck with 3x prisms.    Clarity is awesome edge to edge.

Personally I also like the side mounted red dot. A lot of people complain that it’s not a true 45 degree.   I don’t see where that’s necessary. It’s a matter of training. It’s a 22.5 degree cant.

 
 I got one just because I was interested in it but realistically it’s heavy for what it actually is.    I like the huge fov.  And even though it’s heavy, even with a red dot it’s no heavier than a 1-6 variable is.

The Sabre is 24.7oz, before you add a red dot. A Delta Stryker 1-6x is 17.9oz. Mounted in a NF Ultramount (light, but not the lightest available) it clocks in at 24.0oz.

The PA Nova 1-6x in a Reptilia AUS mount is 22.5oz

I've got one on order (Swampfox currently has a sale going). The chief knock on the Saber that I've heard is the size and weight, but for mainly a range/target accessory that's not a concern for me.

 I was going pricepoint to pricepoint.   I also (personally) don't consider the ultra-light mounts as I only use QD mounts.  Most all of those run 4-5oz heavier than the ultralight mounts.

I have been looking at them and total missed the weight.  At 24oz that is thick!

Got mine last month and just been getting a feel for it on my AUG. Only paid 150$ so I can't be too disappointed with it.
Weight is certainly the biggest issue I have, but it's not the heavier setup I've had on this thing. Honestly, I think I find the simple drop ladder to be the most disappointing part of the optic. A christmas tree setup or even a BDC would be miles better.

A gen 2 version that retains the optical performance, but cuts weight to 20 ounces at max and a more filled out reticle would be mint. Hell, give it something like the ACSS options from the PA 5x Microprism but retain the crosshair and horseshoe of the Saber, and I think that'd be perfect. I know people like illumination, but I always find myself not using it on higher power scopes, so I'd be fine sacrificing illumination to cut weight.

What about the Vortex 5x prism? I’ve seen that one at PSA for $199. I’m just tossing it out there as an option.

Glass is good, but the reticle is on the smaller side. The top mount is interesting, but limited due to them using the cut for their own less-than-stellar red dots.
Eye relief and eye box is rough like the other 5x prisms, and due to the overall size and the lack of cantilever mount makes mounting it the least easy to get in a good spot compared to the Saber or PA's 5x. The Saber's big enough that you can find a good spot for it. Granted, with the price being so low on the Vortex, you can get something like the T2 mounts from Scalarworks or PA that are cantilevered.
