Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Surefire tailcap question

I have a couple of switches from older surefires and have never owned one with the 'clicky' tailcap. If I buy one of those, is it plug and play with the switch or does it require a different tailcap? I'm guessing the latter but....

The older Scout tailcap was advertised to work on the Millennium lights, so it might work, but I don't have one on hand to try it out.

Keep in mind some of the older Surefire weapons lights will not use newer tail caps due to a thread change.
