The Sully Gas Tube Jaws have been used in our Armorer Courses for decades.  We are now making them available for purchase.

The Sully Gas Tube Vise Jaws (Patent Pending) are designed for removal & installation of gas tubes on AR15 & AR308 type weapons systems.  Often times gas tubes can get stuck inside of gas blocks & front sight bases from use, where the carbon builds up causing the gas tube to get stuck.

To use, simply place the grooves of the jaws around the gas tube, and clamp the jaws into a bench vise to get a firm hold of the gas tube during removal or installation of the gas tube.

I made the first set of these a few decades ago, as we had a gas tube we couldn't get out.  The jaws allowed me to get a solid hold of the gas tube when I put it into a vise.  With a solid hold on the gas tube, I could rotate it, and once it is rotating you can work it out of the front sight base or gas tube.  There are a few other helpful tools like having a 5/64" punch removal of the roll pin.  Also a few drops of Kroil will help as well.
