Would that be too heavy, bulky, cumbersome on a  8" 9mm PDW? Pro's / Cons ?

PDW and mostly range toy.

I have a Spitfire on my 4".  Although it's slightly smaller than the Strikefire(I also have a Strikefire) I don't find it too bulky or heavy at all.  The accuracy is great, as well as the FOV.  The Spitfire has a red and green circle dot and is also etched in case batteries die or you don't want illumination.  I've tried a couple other optics on it, RMR, MRO, and went back to the Vortex as I just think i'm more accurate with it.

Strikefire, with my ring mount, is about 11 oz. I wouldn't put it on the upcoming pistol I'm going for, but it's not bad at all.  Adding weight often depends on where you put it, as to how it does/doesn't impact handling.

It's a perfectly suitable optic for any AR Pistol or SBR.

Compare the price of the Vortex StrikeFire to the price of the Sig Romeo 4. While the StrikeFire is a really good red dot ... the Sig has an auto-on and auto-off feature which is really nice. Shop around and you'll find better prices than the links I listed.

I put a Romeo 4 on my Sig MPX and like it so much that I want another one for my 10.5” AR.

The auto on / off feature is great and I like the size / weight.
