I'm making a run on spare parts, gas rings, bolts, springs, etc.... I'm storing them in a plastic bag with some gun oil in it. Is that good or bad? The bags will live in an ammo box in a safe.

Looking for some ideas in case this is a bad one.

I use fishing tackle utility boxes from Wally, but I hear fishing stuff is pretty scarce right now.

Looks good guys. Do you think storing in plastic with oil could cause issues (moisture, corrosion, condensation)?

Not floating in oil, but a squirt or two in the bag then zip it up.

If it works for you, go for it.  I store them the same way they're shipped to me.  Some parts seem to have a light film on them, if they do, I leave it on.  If they don't, I leave them that way.

OP I store almost all of my spare parts in tiny plastic bags with a few healthy squirts of CLP in them ensuring the parts are coated well.  The bags are then organized in a clear plastic tackle box like storage bin.  I have been doing this for years and have never had a problem with rust etc.

Yeah.  Same here.  Some of them have moveable dividers so you can make the trays longer/shorter based on the parts size or the number of parts of the same type you have.
