@texassooner has one and likes it.

I like it too and look forward to buying one.

I started looking for one and couldn’t find any except on gunbroker. I decided to build using M5 receivers instead. I did go with rifle gas on a 16” barrel and the 716i is where that idea came from. I have a Sig suppressor and liked the idea of their tapered shoulder on the barrel but I got tired of waiting for in-stock notifications that never came.

As @shelbysguns said, I have one and have been very happy with it.  I probably have around 1k rounds through it and maybe 1 malfunction?  I’ve only cleaned it once or twice.  Overall I’d say it’s the best out of the box rifle I’ve purchased

I am still curious if the Indians have the DI or the piston 716?

Finally got to shoot my SIG716I Tread. I put 150rds down the tube and knocked my rings loose because my rookie ass forgot to use Loctite. There I was, thinking it was all my poor fundamentals, and it was along with the scope issue! I'll definitely update with 100yd zero results next time I'm out, but this time around I sucked. The rifle is beautiful and very smooth to shoot even with a 16"bbl. I like it way more than my SOCOM16 and it is better balanced and very light to the touch. The trigger is not bad. It is a single stage but it is way too heavy for any type of precision IMO but highly effective as a battle rifle. A new trigger along with a diciplined inspection before my next shoot and I should be able to provide better information and achieve better results.

Conclusion for now is this rifle is an amazing value for the price.
