I've had good luck just overboring the screw holes at the ends of the switches with a drill bit and using a magpul mlok hardware accessory kit to mount the pad directly to the mlok slots on the rail.  The kit referenced by the OP probably gives you a bit more options on positioning with the holes being closer together though.
