Depends on how bombproof you want to make it.

Basics:
Upgrade to Sprinco springs on your buffer and extractor, it'll outlast most people.
Bolt assembly (also with upgraded extractor spring)
Firing pin or two
FCG springs
Anti-walk pins
Upgrade to and have a spare FCD Reinforced buffer retaining pin + spring

For bombproof, add on:
Complete BCG (also with upgraded extractor spring)
Grip, screw, washer
Safety spring and detent (2x)
Gas tube and pin
FGC
Charging handle
Optic, if you have one

To outlast your grandkids, add on:
Buffer tube & stock assembly
Gas block
Barrel
Mag release spring, all other detents and springs

Big Tex Outdoors has the SOLGW Blaster Starter Kit for $43.99 with $1.99 shipping.

All are MIL spec or better parts, no MIM.

Sold out everywhere else so have at it. I ordered 3 for the parts bin.

I swear it's like people here are mildly retarded when it comes to thinking more than one paycheck ahead.

This shit has been coming FOREVER.

"Oh, I need a new AR"

"Oh, I need a parts kit"

"Oh, I should have spare parts"

Jeeezus...  More like totally retarded....

The shit has hit the fan already, the blades are out of balance and the motor is over heating....from where I see it....

My suggestion is to get multiple rifles, all that take the same spare parts....which most of them will do, but there are some proprietary rifles out there that are not interchangable, ie:  KAC (some parts), LMT barrels, etc...

So get a spare rifle(s), lower parts kit(s), BCG's, triggers, mags, followers, springs (both rifle and mags), muzzle devices, stocks....rememeber the last AWB collapisble stocks and flash hiders were on the very evil list in addition to magazines....I remember $75 AR mags if you were lucky, at least around here

Good luck, I started the stocking up 15 years on parts

Gas rings and buffer spring eventually wear out through normal use. Replace buffer spring when it’s less than 10 1/16” inches long (carbine) or 11 1/4” (rifle).

Most likely to fail on the bolt/carrier group are the extractor spring and pin.

The cotter pin and cam pin don't wear out, but they can be lost when your rifle is disassembled for cleaning.

For the lower receiver, have spare springs and detents for the pivot / takedown pins. Again, not because they wear out, but because they're easy to lose.

People think they need a spare firing pin, but AR firing pins just don't seem to break.

So:

Gas rings
Buffer spring
Extractor spring
Extractor pin
Cotter pin
Cam pin
Takedown pin springs
Takedown pin detents

This is a good rundown. Keep spare guns, then stock those parts and stop worrying. Buy more when cheap or available.

I don't buy spare parts anymore, each little part turns into a new rifle so now I just buy more rifles,

I have complete BCGs as spares for each rifle, plus additional complete bolts.  For my primary, I have a complete bolt and spare firing pin in the grip.  As part of my go items, there is a spare complete BCG/CH and spare springs/pins/detents.

You can get bolt repair kits from PSA and such.  Anderson sells oops kits with springs and such.  At Academy, I bought a spring kit from Anderson and pins and detent kit from Black Rain, they were on the rack.  Go to Primary Arms, PSA, Aim Surplus, Brownells, or any of the ads at the top or bottom and search for repair kits, AR parts, you will get hits.  If you go to a gun show, you can get lot of spare parts too.

Basically, every item to make a new rifle I keep as a spare, plus spare rifles.  Don't forget spare batteries for optics and flashlights, get lithium batteries for those items, keep spares of those in your go-bag too!

I wasn't impressed with the bolt catch that came with this kit.

^^^^^^^^^^^

I eventually bought a Colt OEM1 that had been sitting on the dealer's display for over a year.

I think a spare LPK and BCG would cover it otherwise.
