I have a few of the B5 versions from brownells. They are very good. They’ve held up to abuse just like the issue (colt) stocks in my opinion. And they’re cheaper.

I have gotten some great stuff from Apex over the years but you have to know what you're looking at; they get a LOT of interesting things and occasionally bargains can be had but they also get some crap that isn't worth anything near what they are asking. As with everything else, educate yourself before committing to the purchase. |

I hadn't heard that Maparts was having difficulties sourcing components, that's a bummer. I've considered scavenging parts as well. |

They’re very common US made stocks from the ‘80’s. Can’t remember who made that type but Busmaster and Sendra come to mind. |
