Didn't compare pricing anywhere else, but Midway has what you're looking for:
Nikon MONARCH 3 Rifle Scope 1-4x 20mm German #4 Reticle Matte No personal experience with Nikon, but I've read good reviews of their Monarch line. |

I have a 1.5-5x Leupold Vari-X III on my Beowulf, but it ain't in your budget range.
A shooting buddy has one of these on his Beowulf that has held up pretty good so far. |
