Well, welcome back to the world of firearms (and Welcome to this forum). 38 mags is a great start! I just broke down and snagged 7 OD PMAGS last night, to go with my OD M4GERY (I apparently found them just 45 minutes before someone else posted the info on a post below - they are all gone now). Those will be my first poly mags (I have been dragging my feet for some time ) - but they should get along just fine with all of my other aluminum & steel mags. |

I found some pro mags here at Nortwest Shooters Supply. They didn't say they were in stock but I ordered 4 two days ago and was just notified that they have been shipped.
Edited to fix my mistake |

the link provided is not to Magpul Pmags, it is to PROMAG polymer mags. not the famous pmags.
I've never tried the promag version. Some folks on the board have been hating on them, but I've never tried one (and I doubt they have either, so it might be good. |

Uhm... those aren't magul pmags... those are promags... BIG difference (or so I've read...)

Magpul is better for a few reasons but the plastic Promags work in my Spikes very well. All 5 of them A couple reviews. http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=311061 |

I have not received ONE back order(going back to 11/5), and I had them with several vendors. I just waited until some popped up on the EE and snagged them then. |

I would not expect it to get better anytime soon. This whole idea of in a few weeks there will be pmags everywhere is just misguided. Or that people are going to cancel thousands of backorders and the market will be flooded it just won't happen. Sure people will cancel orders but there will be more than enough other backorders to absorb it.
From the dealers I've talked to that are taking backorders, they are not slowing down at all, meaning that they are still getting a lot of orders daily. Magpul is already at capacity and has been for some time now. There are also dealers/distributors that are getting shipments and not putting them up for sale, in hopes that a ban goes through and they can rake in huge profits. My advice would be to find 4-5 small dealers, not brownells, not those that advertise heavy on here, because they are swamped with backorders and have been for awhile. Guys have been waiting nearly 3 months already for some brownells orders and other places. Then I would try to check in here often or keep bookmarks for those sites that do not allow backorders to try and catch them when they have some stock. Even now when dealers get them and put them online they sell out in minutes, hour or two tops. A lot of dealers have quit putting pmags on thier site or psoting here when they have them because of the mass hysteria when they do. My other suggestion would be to buy some other quality AL mags, NHMTG, DH, Cprod, etc. They are still easy to get ahold of right now and the good ones are tried and true and will function great. Nothing against pmags, they are great mags, but considering how hard they are to get right now, having some solid AL mags would not hurt either. |

The buying panic will stop when gun owners no longer have a reason to fear democrats. In other words, it won't stop until they lose elections, or attempt to pass ban and fail miserably.

I doubt this madness is going to end anytime soon. If anything, it'll probably get worse...
