Any suggestions for a carry bag for an AR Pistol 8.5”?  So far the most practical I’ve found is the Small 34” variant by Smith & Wesson $40 on AMZN. Thank you.

I use a tennis racquet bag. I seen it posted awhile back and gave it a try. Works good.

Midway has some compact cases for not bad money.

An OAL of the pistol would help.

That’s what I use, even have a tube of tennis balls, in there, as well

I use these. Sturdy and well made for the most part. They need some retention straps added with some hook and loop to keep the weapon from shifting.

Hard cases are harder to find. I used a HF tool case for a carrier, but the pistol had to be broke down. Went with the Midway soft carrier instead.

I'm a fan of the NCStar VISM bags. I know, I know, NCStar, but they're like $30 bucks and I was pleasantly surprised by the build quality at their price point.

I have a couple of the bigger Savior bags (46") for my precision rifles and I LOVE them!  Durable, comfortable and great features for the price.

I had such good impressions from the larger bags that I also bought the 24".  The straps broke the first time I used it and the zipper broke the second time.  I probably got a late Friday bag, but my 24" definitely isn't in the same league as my others

I use this Rat Case from US Peacekeeper.  I keep my G19 and several magazines held by some adapters in the hook and loop webbing in the front section and my 8" AR 9 strapped in the main. It fits perfectly and has held up very well. Has a good amount of additional room as well.

Agree with the above comment VISM 28” bag has decent quality, not bulky for not a lot of money.  Best deal I found was on eBay, under $30.00

You can "Tip Toe through the Tulips" like Tinny Tim.
Been looking at these myself.
They are all over eBay.

I have been using a BLACKHAWK Diversion Carry Racquet  for 10 yrs or so, never had a problem or even a sideways look.  Looks like a blue tennis racquet case.  I have carried this into more hotels than I can count . . .
Ahhh well, linky no worky . . . . a racquet case is what you seek . . .

Clint50 hit it on the head. I use a Savior coffin 34" and its highly customizable interior offers several options for carrying multiple uppers, accessories and magazines. They have several options that will work. Their Specialist, Coffin, Urban Takedown and American Classic all seem to offer what you may be looking for.

If I need more of an inconspicuous look a backpack or laptop bag or like item not specifically designed for the task but still appropriate works for me.

ETA...

My 34" Coffin bag isn't cheaply made and has survived the last year of use no problem.

Thank you all. I ordered a Savior 30” yesterday. BTW I cancelled the PSA 8.5 and opted for a 10.5.

BTW for $30 a tennis racket bag works fine in a pinch for a 10.5 or under AR Pistol. None of the bells and whistles of a Savior bag but certainly gets the job done.

@JDS5700
Great choices! I really dig that Savior Covert. It wasn't available when I purchased but I may have to get one too. Let us know what you think of them?

Also ordered this Savior bag on Amazon and saved $12. This one will hold my PSA  AR 15 10.5” 5.56 as well as my PSA  AR 10 .308. Thank you guys for introducing me to the Savior bags!

Yep. It's PERFECT for a 10.5 or lower AR  Pistol.

The Covert 30”  is a great case for my PSA AR 10.5 but a bit too bulky. The Coffin 30” is a bit roomier and a lot less bulky. Both cases are excellent for AR Pistols. My PSA AR10 will fit in either as long as the upper and lower receivers are separated. Savior cases are extremely well made and an incredible value.
