Whisper Suppressed Rifle The Rankin Industries AR15 16.25 inch suppressed Rifle 556 begins with a billet upper and lower receiver of 7075 Aluminum. It starts out as a solid block of aluminum that is machined into this beautiful contemporary upper and lower set. The gas block is Superlative Arms Adjustable. The 15? handguard is Midwest Industries SP M-Lok smooth hand guard. The Magpul stock is a fan favorite. The bolt carrier group is the Rankin Industries bolt carrier group. The barrel is a Rankin Industries 10.5 inch 4150 with H&M Nitride finish. The suppressor is a Griffin Armament GP5 that is pinned and welded on. This is a high quality rifle that is ready for duty. appreciate the feedback. But there is nothing cheap on this rifle. It is not a budget AR.

in-house brand barrel and bcg, likely standard grade fare OEM'd somewhere else, probably worth not more than $300 for both; $200 rail, $100 gas block, mil spec trigger/parts kit, $300 billet receiver set, standard magpul and hogue furniture, $100 charging handle, $550 can. Retail prices.
Labor, profit margin, sure. But $2600 seems steep to me. Not trying to crap on your products, I'm just not seeing a $1100 added value over what looks to be at most a $1500 setup if I wanted to piece it together myself at retail prices for everything. You're into POF/SOLGW/DD... even pushing KAC territory at that price point without the accompanying reputation. But that doesn't mean the value's not there. Or that it's not worth that to someone else. I'm just not seeing it. Like I said, it's a cool configuration. |

Welp, we did find an error in the way we added up our costs. We have made some adjustments and skinned it down to the lowest we can do it. We will try to build them for these costs on the site. If we can't then we will raise the price later. The 5.56 is our barrel that we have plenty of. The 300 blackout is a Griffin Armament 9.5 inch 416R Stainless Steel with Nitride finish.
Getting all this assembled and pinned and welded does take some labor. Check out the prices and let me know what you think after we have made these adjustments. Thanks. |

This is what gets it to 16.25 inch to be a rifle. It is for those that do not want to register the pistol on a Form 1. This way they only do a form 4 for suppressor.
Keeps the serial number of the lower or rifle out of the system. It is an option for some to choose. |

For the price, I'd expect a premium suppressor on it. Huxwrx Flow 556k, Surefire RC2, Otter Creek Polonium, etc.
Griffin is okay, but I wouldn't weld one to a barrel. |

P&W suppressor kind of “closes” the system, meaning people aren’t swapping suppressors nor are they shooting it unsuppressed, so have you guys given thought to spec’ing a barrel with an appropriately sized gas port for the weapon system as opposed to putting an adjustable gas block on it?
I only ask because it could help shave some cost, it’ll remove a potential point of failure with an AGB (which becomes an even bigger issue with a pinned suppressor), plus it looks like you have to completely remove the handguard to even adjust the block, which is a PITA. Not trying to stomp your post, looks like a very nice gun, but product improvement is always a good thing and this gun seems ripe for a “reduced gas port” barrel considering it’ll never be fired unsuppressed. |

Given that there are so many different ammunitions grains and strengths, we like the ability to tune the rifle to your ammunition. Some people like to shoot sub sonic ammunition and some like to shoot hyper sonic loads of all weights. The adjustable gas block allows the most custom flexibility.
By trying to do a one size fits all port hole, you will always have more recoil and impulse than is needed. And then in a light load sub sonic, it will not cycle at times. We have done lots of experimenting with these setups. |
