Wolfgangross sent these samples awhile back and wanted them ran in gel. The 150gr is interesting, but it's performance in gel doesn't seem very stellar. The OTM with the powdered/compressed tungsten core seemed to provide good wounding in the 16". I have the 87gr "Heavy Match" to check next.

it's interesting, I had no idea they could make 5.56 bullets like that...but based on the performance in that gel, it's no 300 blackout killer

Interesting....thanks for testing.

A little more info
Powell River Labs out of Oak Ridge Tenn.  is/was a defense contractor that had an explosive manufacturing license and specifically made special gun powders.   How they got into powdered tungsten projectiles is never discussed.  In 2002 the 87gr PRL was matched up and tested against 73gr Berger LTB, and the 77gr Sierra Match King while looking for the MK262 Mod 0/1.  (Sierra Match King won contract).  It was said that the PRL round was difficult to produce, fast enough, in large quantities.  The technology was eventually sold to Dynamic Research Technologies (DRT) and changed their line to copper/ tin matrix projectiles.  PRL was much better because of the use of the powdered tungsten, which keeps its mass as its going through gel. "Its said that it like throwing a food blender into the target", because the tungsten powder keeps going like a tornado inside.
The 87gr was noted for its long range accuracy and penetration for unobstructed targets.  79gr is more of a varmit load and lacks the adequate penetration
Dr Fackler presented a paper to the IWBA Journal discussing the 76gr tungsten tin core rifle projectiles.  Fackler, ML "Tungsten frangible bullet wounds in pig: exam by autopsy and x-ray".  Wound Ballistic review (4)3:33-34, Spring 2000.  Good read if you can find it.
Soon after making my first post on these back in 2010, was contacted by a special ops team member that said that the 87gr was the best performing projectile that he ever used, and that it will bring down a 1000lb elk.  He had the data to back up his claim.  He also provided pictures of a 7.62x51 version!
Kevin wolfgang Gross (Gross as in disgusting)
Powdered tungsten projectiles from PRL.  (They also made a M855 with copper matrix core behind the penetrator)

From what I understand, DRT compressed bullets in 79gr were legit the real deal.

Maybe the 150 grain load is for underwater use.

Not sure if this is answered in the video but will that stabilize in a 1:7? Hard to imagine that it would unless this is designed as very close range.

that I am not sure of. I shot it specifically out of the 1:7 for that reason.

I saw a half rack of the 87s as loaded by Black Hills in person once. The owner had to be well connected to get it.

I think I have 800 or so of a 105 gr bullet they made.

The history of these has always fascinated me.

Ive always been fascinated by the extra heavy 80-105gr 556 loads. And from what I've heard the 79gr was the sh-t for the AMUs and high power. Supposedly they were unparalleled in accuracy and only matched by the 87gr
