Got bored, so I threw this together.  I'm a little conflicted as to whether I should have gone black for the barrel and BCG instead of stainless. What do you guys think?  Photo lighting makes it look bronze, but it's actually anodized O.D. Green.

I really love the risII fsb, but tried the centurion on this one. Much lighter, which is nice, as heavy barrels are required here.

Do y'all mind the ARD and deflector? I took mine off because of the tint and have never shot with it but that looks freaking great on there.

I haven’t noticed a tint, so no issues there for me.

I don’t have the IR filter in there. There is a pink tint with the IR filter that is not pleasing to the eye.  The ARD has no noticeable effect to the image quality in day light.

Finally decided to build something different. Collected a bunch of surplus parts over the years, and found a GG&G 1201 rail to use. Colt M4 Carbine lower, early GWOT upper receiver, p/w Colt 14.5 SOCOM barrel, among other things. Cerakoted everything & spent last weekend assembling it all. Now I just gotta get to the range!

My very first build. It didn't go terribly smooth but I learned a LOT!!!!! If I ever do another, it will be a lot easier. This is for interior/short range defense.

Aero Precision lower
BCM Gunfighter lower kit
Strike Industries enhanced bolt catch
Strike Industries ambidextrous magazine release
Talon ambidextrous safety
Talon Raptor charging handle
AR Stoner .300 Blackout 10.5" upper (it's all I could get my hands on three days before the &#^@*%* ban went into effect)
Viper Venom 6 MOA red dot on a Viper AR quick-change base
Blue Force Vickers sling

Receivers: GGP
Barrel: BA 16” Midlength
Rail: CBC MLOK
Trigger: TT Single stage Duty
Stock: Reptilia RECCE
Mount: ASR

Trying to decide on either RDS or LPVO. Weighs in at 6.8lbs so I’m not sure I want to hang another 1-2lbs of optic on it.

Almost done with my kinda FBI HRT inspired build. Need a new weapon light, probably Modlite PLHv2-18650. And eventually a Griffin Explorr. EXPS2-0 showed up today. Now I just need to find time to get to the range and get it zeroed.

Lower specs:
-Anderson Lower with Stag LPK and LT MBT and Magpul K2+ Grip
-Random buffer tube and spring with Spike’s ST-T2 buffer weight and B5 SOPMOD

Upper specs
-Aero Upper
-Aero 11.5” Gov’t Profile barrel with A2 (for now)
-Geissele OD Green 10.5” Mk8
-Magpul Vertical Grip
-AIM Surplus Nitrided BCG
-KAC micro irons
-EXPS2-0

General
-BFG VCAS sling

Very nice.  Taurus doesn't market an AR in the USA to my knowledge.

Thank you! Yeah everybody I ask in USA tells me there is no AR Taurus on US market.

Here we could buy (untill last year) the T4 (5.56 or .300 blackout) in 11.5 or 14.5 inches. They was near launching the T10 (ar-18) in .308 (one of the most beautiful AR I ever seen) but with the left president elected things went down.

Here is the T4 (5.56) in it's original form

And here is the T10 (never launched....yet)

Speaking personally, I have ARs both ways & lately I've prefered the slight accent look of a SS barrel in a black hand guard. With that said I'm basically old school as far as my 'black-rifles' being black (with a few exceptions). Looks good though.

This was my first lower half build way back in 2005 Colt Match Target stripped lower receiver that I found at my local gun shop.

I installed a Colt lower parts kit from Specialized Armament (AZ), the buttstock group was a new takeoff from a Colt M-16A2 select fire rifle from a machine gun dealer.

The upper half was made in 2021 Colt AR-15A4 CK complete conversion kit (with complete Colt auto BCG) and Magpul M-LOK rifle handguard, I replaced the Magpul handguard with a new Colt A4 handguards.

Shown is my older Nikon 3-9X40 hunting optic mounted on a LaRue Tactical LT104 SPR/ M4 1.5" quick detachable lever mount but I usually use my Colt detachable carry handle most of the time.

The 30 rounds mag is a new Colt Mfg. mag with a military style nylon adjustable two point sling.

New to the forum, but I've been messing around with ARs for a bit over a year now. This is my first one I built, and have already gone through a few iterations finding what I like. Only thing left I really want to do is swap out the BA lower receiver for a FCD ambi lower with all the add-ons. Then use the BA lower for my other build (already have the upper/optics ready to go).

https://i.imgur.com/7R3Mbkc.jpg

Upper
BA M4E1 receiver
BRT 14.5" CHF Optimum barrel
BRT gas block & gas tube
BCM MCMR-13
FCD 6315XE flash hider P&W
Radian Raptor
Microbest Chrome BCG w/ phosphate extractor
Arisaka Indexer
Streamlight HLX w/ Arisaka inline mount and Cloud Defensive LCS

Lower
BA M4E1 receiver
LaRue MBT-2S
Radian Talon safety
CMMG Zeroed ambi mag release
CMMG Zeroed extended bolt catch
BCM buffer tube/buffer/stock.
FCD exended take down pins
Magpul K2 grip

Optics
Sig Romeo5
Scalarworks Leap01 1.93"
Sig Juliet4

Decided to do a budget SPR build, and it's probably my favorite rifle so far.

20" HBAR from Ballistic Advantage.
Handguard is an old UTG, if memory serves. It's a cheap MLOK I had lying around. Shorter than ideal, but have had no issues with the gas tube taking dings with the flip up front sight acting as a guard.
Bolt is and bolt carrier parts kit came from BCM.
Bolt carrier and upper are BCA side charging
Lower is a KP15, with one of their ambi selectors.
Scope is a PA 4-14x44 in HUD DMR reticle, and the dot is a Crimson Trace micro dot.
Light is an Inforce.

Bipods that are on it currently are the cheapest I could find on Amazon. They're not typical a staple on any build I do, but I do like the height for zeroing off of a bench. They'll be back in the spare parts bin soon, and I'll run it without bipods.

It comes in, fully loaded, at just over 10 lbs. The HBAR makes it fairly front heavy, but its not awkward at all to carry and use. Very accurate for what it is, and the whole thing came in at under $1k. Holds 1moa or slightly less out to at least 300, with quality ammo and the reticle makes it very, very easy run at distance.

I'm mimicking that build in more quality parts now, and I'm trying to decide which optic I want to use. I'm considering running a Vortex Razor HD on it, but I REALLY like the HUD DMR reticle.

Started a .300blk build and just finished the lower before (still waiting on the stock)
First time using Aero and i'm super happy with the products, quality is on point!
Will update when my upper arrives :)

AERO Lower
RA-535 Advanced Performance Trigger
Radian Talon Ambi Safety
Aero Enhanced Buffer Tube
Aero Billet Trigger Guard
BCM QD Endplate
Magpul Grip
(Take down pins and mag catch/release from Aero lower kit)

Putting together a Geissele 14.5 inch pin and weld.  Purchased the blem hand guard, barrel, and lower a few months ago during one of their blem sales.  Purchased the ODG upper when it became available on Geissele's site.  I used a spare Griffin Armament flash comp taper mount.  One of the $14 BCM blem gas blocks.  Radian bolt catch.  Spare LWRC bolt carrier--the carrier had rough edges that dinged up the buffer, so LWRC sent a new bolt carrier and buffer , the chewed up LWRC H2 buffer, spare BCM bolt, and Aero buffer tube .  I need Geissele ODG trigger guard, ambi safety, ambi mag release, trigger (likely Geissele), stock, and grip.  Not sure what optic I want to use. I have a spare Aimpoint Pro I can use.  I was thinking of getting an Eotech w/magnifier; but, IDK what to use for now.  Putting it together as funds are available.
Retro Arms did the pin and weld last week.  Super quick turn around (one day).

budget build on top

Little bit more pricey on bottom:
Psa upper/lower
Fathers of freedom bcg (psa)
Colt SOCOM 14.5"
KAK extended A2 pinned/welded
Centurion arms c4 carbine cutout rail
Subrevtec sling control
Giessele SSA
TA31H acog
Giessele precision acog mount
Surefire scout light Pro
H1 buffer
Sprinco blue buffer spring
Magpul aluminum trigger guard
Magpul xtm rail covers
Magpul RVG.
Magpul ctr stock.

A lot of magpul I know. But it just works and decently priced.
